Los Angeles definitely has me in my feels as of lately. This week, we’ve been facing an unexpected heat wave, so naturally, I’ve been thinking of all things ice cream! My sister & I took a recent trip to the Museum of Ice Cream & I’d thought I’d give a little share of our experience there.
First off, I will say that I truly had an incredible time…maybe different treats served in every room contributed to that, but what I really enjoyed was how everything there was made larger than life. Every detail was exaggerated, every idea was emphasized, it was interactive & there were plenty of photo ops.
Upon walking in, you immediately get the sense to explore. From the pink telephones, to the banana & ice cream sandwich swings, to the highly anticipated sprinkle pool, all were sights to see. One of my favorite rooms though, was the “mint room.” That room served a delicious mint ice cream filled mochi & had little garden boxes of real mint growing. Details I enjoyed included little “boomerang” photo ops, fun facts the employees gave about these sweet treats & how each employee had cute names (shout out to Popsicle Paige – she was the best!).
